Erasmus: Numeracy and Literacy Course in Budapest

Numeracy and Literacy Course in Budapest

Between June 30th and July 4th, four of our teachers took part in an exciting professional development opportunity in Budapest, Hungary! As part of our school's Erasmus accreditation program, they attended a course on Numeracy and Literacy for Secondary School Teachers.
During the course, our teachers explored innovative strategies to engage students in learning languages and mathematics. Rather than fearing Artificial Intelligence, they discovered how to harness it as a powerful educational tool—creating interactive activities, presentations, and videos that truly bring learning to life!
The best part? These tools work across all subjects, not just language and maths. Our teachers got hands-on experience developing classroom resources like quizzes, graphs, online games, cartoons, presentations, and even digital avatars. They explored platforms such as Magic School, ESL Bro, Gamma, Storyboard, and Colossyan—all designed to make learning more enjoyable while supporting students with diverse learning styles and abilities.
A huge thank you to our course instructor, Mr. Hunter Niederhauser, for his dynamic teaching and for equipping our staff with cutting-edge educational tools and techniques!
