Sacred Heart Minor Seminary Teachers Complete Final Erasmus+ Mobility in Turkey

Four members of our teaching staff recently participated in the concluding mobility of the Erasmus+ project I'm Here Too, hosted by our partner institution Aktepe Ortaokulu in Denizli, Turkey. This week-long professional development experience marked the final chapter of a successful international collaboration with schools from Germany, Italy, and Turkey, all united by a common mission: advancing inclusive education through gamification.

A Week of Professional Growth and Exchange

During their time in Turkey, our educators took part in an intensive programme of workshops, classroom observations, and collaborative discussions with teaching professionals from across Europe. The mobility offered a valuable opportunity to share best practices while exploring innovative approaches to teaching and learning in diverse educational settings.

Our staff observed a range of lessons delivered by colleagues at the Turkish host school, gaining practical insights into how inclusion is embedded within everyday classroom practice. They witnessed firsthand the strategies Turkish educators use to adapt instruction and create supportive learning environments where every student can thrive.

Exploring Excellence in Gifted Education

A highlight of the visit was a trip to a specialized high-IQ school in Denizli, designed specifically for gifted and talented learners. This experience opened new perspectives on differentiated education and underscored the importance of tailored approaches that recognize and nurture each student's unique potential.

Strengthening Our Commitment to Inclusion and Innovation

The I'm Here Too project has been more than a professional development opportunity—it has reinforced the value of international collaboration in education. Through meaningful exchanges with European colleagues, our educators have expanded their professional networks, deepened their understanding of inclusive pedagogy, and returned with actionable ideas ready to be implemented in our classrooms.

This participation reflects Sacred Heart Minor Seminary's ongoing dedication to educational excellence, inclusion, and innovation. By engaging with the wider European educational community through Erasmus+, we continue to ensure that our students benefit from world-class teaching practices and a truly inclusive learning environment.

We extend our gratitude to all partner schools and the Erasmus+ programme for making this enriching experience possible.
