Oratory Youths registered the double over Zebbug Rovers and earned three deserved points which keeps them ahead of the challengers for the runners-up position St Lawrence Spurs. In this match the Youths produce some good play and showed improvement over their recent performances where they struggled more than expected to earn positive results. The victory for Oratory could have been with a larger margin but their striker were sometimes erratic and in other occasions Zebbug’s goalie Demis Bajada denied the Youths from scoring with some difficult interventions.

The match between the two teams who were expected to be major contenders for promotion disappointed as St Lawrence Spurs and Oratory Youths both confirmed their difficult moment of form. The match failed to produce good play and the actions at the two goals were very rare. This encounter could have easily ended in a draw but Oratory’s Shaun Attard managed to strike the decisive goal seconds from the final whistle.
Kercem Ajax 3 Oratory Youths 0In the direct clash between the two teams at the first two places on the table, Kercem Ajax earned the full points at stake from their match against Oratory Youths with three goals scored during the second period. This was Kercem’s second victory over the Youths in the campaign and arrived after a disappointing goalless draw against Munxar Falcons in their previous match. It was a deserved win for the Ajax who were erratic in their finishing during the first period but became lethal in their counter breaks during the second period.
