Seminary foundation anniversary

On Friday, the 11th of November, liturgical commemoration of St Martin of Tours, our seminary celebrated the 145th anniversary of its foundation.  The Sacred Heart Seminary was founded in 1886, a couple of decades after the erection of the diocese of Gozo itself.  Major Seminary Rector Fr. Daniel Xerri presided over Mass for the Form 1, 2 and 3 students and Headmaster Fr. Noel Saliba concelebrated.  The Minor Seminary’s Spiritual Director Fr. Tonio Galea celebrated Mass at St Francis’ Conventual church in Victoria for the Forms 4 and 5 students.
